Watchmen Portraits - Seymour

Seymour David is a minor recurring character in Watchmen. In the film Seymour is portrayed by Chris Gauthier.

Seymour is an overweight awkward kid who works at the New Frontiersman magazine offices and assistant to Hector Godfrey.

At times he delivers newspapers to Bernard's newstand where Walter Kovacs (Rorschach) buys newspapers from. (source?)

He is partially seen behind Godfrey when he appears in the TV news.[1]

He is seen with Godfrey preparing the a New Frontiersman draft, continuing the story about Max Shea's disappearance and put a filler from the crank file.[2]

After the Alien Monster attack, he buys lunch from Burgers 'N Borscht while going to work. He is eating a hamburger, and ketchup spills on his smiley shirt resembling the blood-spilled Comedian's badge. His boss Hector says they got nothing to write about since the world went to peace and Seymour suggests finding something in the crank file he could write. Our final image is of him reaching for Rorschach's journal.[3]

Designed by Moore to be "the ordinary common slob". He is the final character shown in Watchmen, playing a pivotal role in the final pages, whom Moore describes as "the most low-life, worthless, nerdy sort of character in the entire book who finally has the fate of the world resting in his pudging fingers".
