Seymour is an overweight awkward kid who works at the New Frontiersman magazine offices and assistant to Hector Godfrey. At times he deliver newspapers to a local newstand where Walter Kovacs (Rorshach) buys newspapers from. At the end of Watchmen, while he is eating a hamburger, ketchup spills on his smiley shirt resembling the blood-spilled smiley badge the Comedian had. His boss Hector says they got nothing to write about since the world went to peace and Seymour suggests finding something in the crank file he could write. Our final image is of him reaching for Rorschach's journal.
Designed by Moore to be "the ordinary common slob". He is the final character shown in Watchmen, playing a pivotal role in the final pages, whom Moore describes as "the most low-life, worthless, nerdy sort of character in the entire book who finally has the fate of the world resting in his pudging fingers".
