Lillian Charlton Home for Problem Children was an institution based in New Jersey founded by Lillian Charlton.[1]

After assaulting two older children bullying him, Walter Kovacs entered its custody from 1951 to 1956. Removed from his mother's negative influence, he showed improvement. Eventually he was assigned a job in a garment factory.[2][3]

The Charlton Home was likely named after Charlton Comics.
